When I attended school in the 50's and 60's, we were not taught the true facts of the tremendous anti-Jewish feelings post WWII-especially in England. I believe that what students learn in school makes up their belief systems during their lifetime. Fortunately, I was a Belgian who emmigrated to US in 1954 (age 10) girl, non-Jewish. However, I have always been sensitive to prejudice towards the Jewish people living in Chicago, and am glad to say I had many Jewish friends while in school. I hope more people learn about the history of post WWII 1945-48 before Israel.
